Category: The Rave Board
Hey all. Well, as some of you know, my mum was in hospital. But let me start from the beginning:
For ten weeks now you could see that mum was ill. She had lost weight (30 pounds), was pale and was shivering constantly, besides she could hardly breathe and was out of breath as soon as she walked up some small steps. The doctors didn't know what to do, so they told her to go to a doctor in the hospital. However he could only give her an appointment at 17. October. But fortunately, one of mum's friends knows this doctor and talked to him. So, fortunately, she has her appointment last Friday.
Two hours after she returned from the appointment, the doctor called and told her to go to hospital immediately, as her very severe overfunction of her theiroid put her at life risk and needed to be operated immediately. My mum ... she was very sad and even cried, and believe me, my mum almost never cries (except when she is seing a sad movie). Lol. Anyway, Monday was the surgery. Monday evening she couldn't breathe anymore and had to be moved to intensive care! They kept her one and a half days. She couldn't drink without choking, and she needed extra oxygen.
Now she is back in her department and in her room, feeling better, starts to be able to drink and can even eat, her voice sounds way better and she wil lcome out of the hospital on Saturday!!! I am so glad because when she was at intensive care I couldn't stop crying and I was so scared. But now I know everything will be fine!!!
I guess this was the longest board post I ever wrote, but hey, it doesn't matter, it is worth it.
oh, i'm so happy for you.
glad your mum is okay
Thanks. I'm really relieved after this week of worries about her.
I hope she continues to do well.
Thanks for the update. Continued thoughts and prayers.
Yes, it is good to hear you are doing better Ines... Keep on Being positive as in new directions you are moving...realizing that as Life continues...life continues in all of it's many forms...deep sorrow/pain as well as great heights/joys are all to be taken in stride...
Well said. Yes, I agree totally.
Best of luck to her and the family.
